From the summit of Babel … Another sound
I heard the sound of accolades…incredible accolades…truly high, high praise!
“Wow! They know how to praise Jesus” I thought. I marveled at what I was hearing - and I was encouraged.
“This praise isn’t for Jesus.”, a watchman next to me spoke. (He was from the region of China - and I strongly believe, a pastor of an underground house church)
He continued: “They are not in any way praising the Lord.”
“Then who are they praising?”, I asked.
“They are praising one other!”, he responded.
I gazed around at the huge arena in which I now stood.
In as few words as possible, I will describe and explain - what I was seeing…what I was hearing:
The arena was covered with screens, around and above. Front and center stood a huge stage: Upon it were apostles, prophets, pastors, deliverance ministers and workers of miracles (faith healers)
These “church luminaries” were fairly showering each other with accolades! Accolades that I thought at first were going to Jesus Christ…that should have belonged to Jesus Christ…
“Did I suddenly find myself front of house, at the Red Carpet of the Oscar’s..?
or, more than that: Am I at the half time show of the Super-bowl?”
I promise you, I am not exaggerating when I say, this is exactly what it now looked and sounded like!
One luminary would introduce another upon this platform, while at the same time, working the watching congregation up into a frenzy of excitement and anticipation.
And I saw something else - something unnerving:
Many of these luminaries had committed grievous sins - much of this, in the name of prophecy or deliverance. Some of these heinous crimes had been exposed…but many more had been cleverly and carefully hidden: Against their families, communities,those working under them, their OWN CONGREGATIONS - and ultimately against the Lord, these iniquities remained.
I turned to the Chinese pastor, who was quietly watching. “Why are they on this platform?“ I queried. “How can this be allowed?”
“The established Church tried to call these people to account.” He said. “Many tried to bring them to repentance…but it became futile - like trying to hold running water in your hands. Every time one door closed on them, another one would open up…until - there they were again, back on the platform.”
“How can this be?” I asked again.
“All the individuals that you see on this platform are beholden in some way to each other; Everyone you see, owes their position at the top of the pyramid to someone else who is also at the top. This is the reason behind the accolades…the promotions…the golden handshakes. This is why, regardless of sins committed, they will continue to support one another…always protecting, always covering: For in this way, they are protecting and covering themselves…and the penthouse lives that they love so much”
“You owe me one…remember what I did for you today.”
I heard this, not from the mouth of anyone on the platform, but from somewhere behind:
“You are hearing the hidden condition of their hearts.”, the pastor simply explained.
This again explained why immediately after I heard these hidden utterances, the luminaries would, in a grossly over-the-top display of emotion, embrace one other, with words like:
“I love you man…”
“I love you too…”
I could see that the masses below would also go to great lengths to protect and defend those at the top, because of something I learned was called the “honor culture”: Basically: “Obey your leaders (ie the apostles and prophets) or be in disobedience to the Lord.” I saw the fear…the intimidation; and at the same time the awe and idolization in, the hearts of these brainwashed masses.
“They believe that these people are at the top because the Lord put them there.”, the Chinese pastor explained.
Again, I was starting to feel sick inside. I just couldn’t imagine the Lord ever putting anyone on such a pedestal! We are no better than Israel when they demanded a king! They couldn’t handle it - neither can we! We’re too susceptible to pride - and to idolatry!
“Now appoint for us a king to judge us like all the nations.”
(1Samuel ch. 8)
{As long as there is idolatry in the church there can be no true humility, and no fulfillment of 2Chronicles 7:14. Those at the top were proud to be at the top; those underneath were proud to be following or associating with those at the top. (2Timothy 4:1-4)
But whenever we set some people up above others in this manner, we are setting them up to fall; It is only a matter of time…for all of them.}
I could still see the hidden sin: At its foundation was Pride - of a people who governed themselves, with no accountability. As a result, their eyes were blinded and their consciences seared.
The pastor with me, again gestured toward the platform - and repeated as before: “The established Church tried to call these people to account. Many tried to bring them to repentance; but they were so elevated and insulated that no one could get through to them! They were beyond reasoning with. Although their sin was exposed, it seemed that the masses below, wanted these people more than they wanted God and His Righteousness: So now we have placed them all in the Hands of God.
And the LORD said to Samuel, “Obey the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me from being king over them.”

& Jeremiah 5:30-31
“But the church is not a pyramid!” I was gasping in horror. “We are one Body…of equal value…under One Head…”
{I was somewhat embarrassed by my reactions: I knew I wasn’t handling this very well.}
The pastor looked at me, as if to say “I know.”
Then he continued: “These elevated ones hold themselves accountable to no one; What they fail to see - what those who support them…who follow them - fail to recognize, is that because they are set so high - because they have appointed themselves influencers of the many…to be seen and heard and recognized by the many, they will and must therefore be, judged by the many: To who much is given, much will be required. If you teach, prophesy, minister globally, you must be held accountable globally - not worshipped and idolized. The Church must learn this…because these people have now become a danger globally.”
The greater the platform, the greater the audience and therefore, the greater the accountability must be: But we seem to have got it completely backwards in the Church: for it appears that the greater the platform, the less accountable those are upon it and the greater the idolatry.
I knew none of these ‘luminaries’ were being held to account, as they should have been, by the Ecclesia - and I did not need to ask why: Because again and again, reverberating through the airwaves, I heard “touch not the Lord’s anointed; do his prophets no harm”. {see Psalm 105:15} And it was then, that I realized: Some of those within the masses were afraid, some were almost brainwashed - and most, if not all, were completely star-struck {a product of the celebrity culture into which they had been immersed}. These “ministers” saw themselves as “the saviors of the world”; they did not realize that they were actually a danger to it.
As I looked once more, at these ‘god-like’ personalities on the platform, here is what came to mind:
From Matthew 6:
19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal,
20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light,
23 but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!
24 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”
I knew I was looking at elitism in the Church…a “gated neighborhood” in the Kingdom of God…and it sickened me.
However, there was also another side to this glaring indifference to sin: For I saw, that some of these celebrities were actually using their past sins and iniquities, to sensationalize their testimonies: This was, slowly and subtly, searing the consciences of both them and their listeners; who would then idolize them even more…championing them above the rest of the Body…and in some cases, above Jesus Christ Himself! (The masses themselves were utterly blind to this shocking blasphemy - and I quickly realized the reason why: The “christ” they were worshipping was not the One revealed to us in the Bible); Meanwhile, on these platforms, sins and iniquities of the past were becoming more and more exaggerated; and testimonies, becoming more and more extravagant, as these platforms got higher…and the crowds got bigger.
“The masses believe that God has raised these luminaries up to touch Heaven - to hear from God, see His face and open up Heaven - on their behalf.”, the pastor continued.
I almost choked when I heard this.
“But there is one mediator between God and man…the man Jesus Christ.” (I immediately remembered 1Timothy 2:5-6)
~~~Wasn’t this the way of thinking that Martin Luther came against, in the Great Reformation? Do we really want to return to Roman Catholicism: ascended masters…saints mediating for lesser mortals…buying indulgences to earn God’s favor? This is a heresy that so many have given their lives, to turn the Church away from!~~~
Ecumenicism
On this great platform I could now see Roman Catholic priests. The luminaries of the Church were holding hands and embracing them.
‘What is wrong with this’, you may ask?
Nothing, if your intention through embracing them, is to lead them into Salvation through Christ alone. But this was not the intention here. There was no mention of the Gospel - nor of Jesus Christ! What I did hear - over and over - was this: “It’s time for us to come together! The Christian Church and the Catholic Church must become one!” There was an eruption of cheers - and tears of emotion - from both the luminaries and the masses.
“Now they will become the proponents of unity.”, the Chinese pastor spoke quietly. This will elevate them to an even higher status in the church - but it will be the wrong kind of unity…”
I knew, that this kind of unity, was not of the kind that Jesus shared with the Father (John 17:21). This mentality was more akin to those attempting to build Babel, in Genesis ch. 11. The masses wanted to be a part of something greater than themselves…the luminaries wanted to be a part of something as great as God Himself…and they were using, both the Name of God, and the deceived masses to do it.

I was now beginning to see clearly, the frightening similarities between this “new move of God” and Roman Catholicism:
*Closed or limited access to accurate teaching of the Bible;
*New “revelation” being placed above written scripture;
*Working…striving - for extra…for more, instead of trusting that through the Cross it is entirely finished;
*Mere mortals acting as mediators between God and creation {In the Roman Catholic Church it was Mary and other dead “saints”; but in this “New Apostolic Reformation” it was living “apostles” and “prophets”}…
Again, I saw them open a Bible…turn a a few pages…quote scripture - but not teach from it…lest the attention be taken away from themselves…and
lest their captives hear the Truth - and the Truth set them free…
And again, they rarely mentioned Jesus - or even God, except to say
“God said to me…”
and
“I said to God…”
One of the scriptures I heard regularly quoted, was Matthew 10:41
And I saw how they were using this scripture - to their very great advantage!
“They take care of each other”, the Chinese pastor said again. “This is how they stay at the top of the pyramid.”
I was suddenly curious: “How is it that you are able to see all of this so clearly?” I asked.
“Because the same system operates where I come from.”, he answered.
I looked at the Chinese pastor: He said nothing more - but somehow I knew…that what we were witnessing here - this two tier structure - was something more akin to the structure of power in the nation of China then of a nation like America - and within the Lord’s Church! I stood in silence with the pastor. At that moment there was nothing to be said.
Finally he spoke again:
“They take care of each other.”, he repeated; “But they do not take care of the flock!” As he said this, I could see from the shouting, cheering masses below, money being thrown up onto the platform. These wolves in sheep’s clothing were blatantly extorting from their flocks…and the trail of destruction that they left behind them…that was quickly and cleverly covered up by their faithful groups of worker bees beneath - How can I describe this…?
'Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flocks? You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool; you slaughter the fatlings, but you do not feed the flock. The weak you have not strengthened, nor have you healed those who were sick, nor bound up the broken, nor brought back what was driven away, nor sought what was lost; but with force and cruelty you have ruled them. Ezekiel 34:1-10
I looked at the group of luminaries called faith healers. The atmosphere seemed to turn electric as this particular tribe stood on the platform.
“Are these miracles real?” I asked the pastor.
“Some of them are: And we give glory to God for them.”, he said. “But a significant portion is just a smokescreen - for media attention.”
I could now see the smoke…and the mirrors: (something that I have now begun likening to a serpentine seduction)…and that, however these people had started out, they were now nothing more than charismatic entertainers…performers…who had mastered the art of distraction and misdirection…and were using it, to their very great advantage.
The pastor with me, continued: ”The Lord is gracious and merciful - and He loves His people. All the actual miracles you see happening, are because of this: A relationship of Grace and faith, between the Lord and the recipient (or those who interceded on the recipient’s behalf). It is about the Lord, not the faith healer, but through the mountain of media, they have made it all about themselves. People are flocking to the faith healer, when they should be seeking the Lord.
“What can we do?”, I asked
“Pray.”, he immediately responded. “Trust, pray and above all else, OBEY.”
And I will relay this to you the reader.
There is so much going on at the top of the pyramid that the Church are not aware of: And we should be, because this is going on inside the Church - the House of God.
At this point, I will mention the great flat lead plate that separated the upper tier from the lower tier on the pyramid. Nothing got through it. Those at the top were entirely insulated. I knew that nothing would bring this system down…until the Lord Himself brought it down. Judgement will come to this “Tower of Babel”.
As we stood in the arena, looking at the healing frenzy all around us, the Pastor continued: “Sometimes a person is completely healed without any apparent input from anyone; an act of pure grace and mercy; the Lord’s way of reminding us that, regardless of our formulas and methods - regardless of our “words of faith” - He is ALWAYS sovereign: But, in the hype of the great Media Mountain, many have lost sight of this…and some never knew to begin with. They have looked to people instead of to the Lord, and so their view of Him has become distorted.”

I knew that not everyone in this great arena was “receiving their miracle”…and for almost all, it was not immediate. I saw confusion…discouragement…despair: People’s hearts were being crushed…and my heart bled for them!
I thought about Isaiah 55:8-9: If only these worker bees could see! Such a burden is removed from our shoulders when we realize: There are some aspects of the Lord that will remain a mystery: Because He is God - and we are not! We don’t need to have all the answers…because He does! {See Psalm 131:1-2; Matthew 11:28-30 & Romans 8:31-39
I continued listening to those on the platform: “God doesn’t want you to wait!”, one woman was saying. “You have the authority to take your healing NOW!…to take your prosperity NOW..! More and more I could feel the burden being placed on these worker bees. More and more I knew they were being distracted away from the real reason Christ came: A relationship with God through the forgiveness of the Cross: through Grace!
At this point, other watchmen and women had begun to gather around us.
“Can’t you come over and warn us in person?” I appealed to the Chinese pastor. “I believe we’ll pay more attention if you do!”
“We have.”, came the voice of a woman next to me. I knew her to be a Muslim background believer (MBB)
“We have sent envoys - messengers to your nation” She continued. But rather than take the time to listen to either them or the Holy Spirit, you were quick to place our envoys on a pedestal, in front of a camera…you were so quick to make a trophy of them…and to westernize them.”
I stood shocked - unable to speak. I couldn’t help but think of Jesus’s words in Matthew 23:15
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel across sea and land to make a single proselyte, and when he becomes a proselyte, you make him twice as much a child of hell as yourselves.”
She continued “We had hoped that you would feed them with the pure milk and nutrition of the Word of God, that you have in such abundance!
We had wanted you to bring that nutrition back to us.” she continued. “We had looked forward to greeting you - that you would share with us, the fellowship of our suffering for Christ. There are so many hidden here!” She spoke with tears in her eyes.
I could see that many MBB’s had now also gathered around us.
“You have so much.”, she said again. “And there are so many hidden here - who are starving. We had sent our envoys to you in the United States in the hope that you would feed them - TEACH them - so they in turn would be able to bring the Word of Life back here and feed us. (see Ch.7, part 9) But shortly after they came to you, we lost our envoys…We lost them to a gospel of prosperity and a Mountain of Media”
I thought back again to the platform: the golden handshakes, the accolades, the wealth, the greed…the seven mountains of power…in the Name of Christianity and of Jesus Christ!
“Is this what the Islamic nations are seeing when they look at us?” I asked
She simply responded “Yes”
I broke down in a heap on the ground and wept. She had spoken these words with such love and compassion; and yet they cut me to the heart.
I thought about 1Peter 4:1-2; I knew these people, who at any point were at risk of being imprisoned, tortured or martyred, wanted to share the fellowship of their suffering with us; that we in exchange would feed them with the pure and undiluted Word of God, which we have in it’s entirety, and in abundance. (See also Romans 5:3-5; James 1:2-4; 1Peter 1:1-9)
While this precious MBB was speaking, the other remnants who had gathered around us, began to open their hands; And what I saw within them has shaken me more than anything else.
Within their hands were the same fragments of the Word of God that I had seen from those in the city! But unlike those in the city, these people were desperately hungry for the Truth - and they knew they were hungry! (Matthew 5:3)
We have the freedom to access the complete, intact Word of God, but we do not seem to want it. These people have no access to the Word of God…no freedom to read it; and yet so desperately want it.
Back in the arena; and I could see money…large sums of Church money…being passed from hand to hand…usually in the form of handshakes.
This - all of this - was filtering out across the planet through the mountain of media. I saw again the Remnants of nations: People who KNEW the Word of God and consequently were able to see the danger, had built high walls and fortifications around themselves, their families, their congregations.
Then there were other places: Regions and nations where there was no Word of God - and there was therefore, no defense!
I saw the continent of Africa. This false gospel was pouring in - and the people were largely devouring it!
~~~Many of the nations in Africa are not what we would call “westernized”
For example, their systems of Government are not based on Judeo-Christian values, but are tribal at their foundations. Unbelievably, what was filtering out from the mountain of media, although professing the name of Jesus, was also tribal at its foundation! A club of exclusivity, The consequences of this were - and still are - devastating.~~~
“Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood.
I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.”
Read Acts 20:28-35
I know from personal experience, as a missionary to Kenya, how sharp the teeth of these wolves are…and how shamelessly they exploit the Name of Jesus and the Christian faith for their own benefit. The Holy Spirit had instructed us before we had travelled there: “Take care of the flock in your charge. Teach them the whole Word of God. Give them the Gospel according to the Bible - and the miracles will follow.” And they did.
But at the same time, while we were there, I could see and hear through those ominous screens, these wolves in sheep’s clothing - who were taking everything - draining the people, who were following, like sheep going to the slaughter.
Doesn’t our Declaration of Independence state that “all men are created equal”? Isn’t this the kind of thing that we in the western Church should be exporting?
“Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruits.”
Read Matthew 21:33-44
Because the same problem exists today. People forget about the Lord - or never even knew Him to begin with - and begin to use His Kingdom for their own purposes.

This is a word God gave me, concerning the false prophesies about the election, that came came out of the Charismatic Movement. I was trembling as I wrote it.
“For you have built for yourselves walls - high and lofty walls - in My House - that I did not permit you to build: You have separated yourselves in ways that I did not permit - within My Body- and at great cost to My Body. So now in due time, I am bringing your house down - the house you built for yourself will fall as if it were a house of cards (Matt7:24-27). Then you will know that I AM the Lord - and I will not be mocked. Is not My Name being mocked in the nations because of you? I am giving you time to repent. It is hard to kick against the goads...for this is exactly what you are doing. How long will you continue? Therefore separate yourselves unto Me” says the Lord. “Humble yourselves under My mighty Hand, that My House - not yours - may be full; that I may send my Spirit and heal your Land. I am waiting - for you”

Please...if you are in any way involved in the above - separate yourself unto God and repent. 💔 Has not our Biblically based Declaration of Independence taught us that “all men are created equal”…yet we have a pyramid of elitism in the Body of Christ…and I believe it has hindered revival. It is a stench in His nostrils... because-1Tim2:5.
As for the rest of us - we need to pray for these, that they would repent. We also have to separate ourselves- to stay repentant and humble- hidden in Him. Why? Because Judgement begins at the House of God. (1Peter4:17)

So is there anything left for this nation? Is there any hope for us?
“I discipline those whom I love - and I love you. I have not left you without hope…I have not left you without a Way.”
I heard the Lord say these words - And that was when I remembered:

{Beneath the crowd of witnesses, “We the People of The City on a Hill” had gathered as an army. They stood facing outward, with their backs to the place they had once known (Hebrews 11:13-16): They were being bathed in Glory, but at the same time, being cloaked with humility. As I looked I could see that they had been armored up, with every piece of armor from Ephesians 6. Now they stood ready to go out - to the North, South, East and West. And I saw as if, a scroll being unrolled, that I believe to be the prayer and declaration of the Rev. Robert Hunt (This is America’s true call and destiny.) Then a Voice said “Who will go?” Families - some of these up to five generations - stepped forward. (I was - and still am weeping)}
