The Pastor

I do not write these things to make you ashamed, but to admonish you as my beloved children.

For though you have countless guides (ten thousand instructors- NKJV) in Christ, you do not have many fathers. 1Corinthians 4:14-15 (ESV)

A father, like a shepherd, never relinquishes responsibility for the flock;

A guide can preach a sermon or teach a session and then go home and attend to his own affairs; but a father can never cease to be a father, just as someone with a pastor’s heart, never loses sight or burden for his sheep.

A guide can travel the world, teaching, speaking, exhorting hundreds…thousands…and not remembering one;

A father…a pastor…a shepherd…knows each one of his sheep by name, and cares for each one. See John Ch.10; Ch.21:15-17 and 1Samuel 17:28, 34-37

A guide is likely to be known and heralded by many;

A pastor…a father…only by his own.

A guide may have many followers;

A pastor? Just a few sheep (1Samuel 17:28)

A guide has often already received his/her reward in this life;

A father…a pastor…looks for his reward in the next.

Let each one of us judge for ourselves: Who is doing the greater work in the eyes of the Lord? Only the Lord knows a person’s heart - But know this: He does not measure greatness as we do. Whether our churches are big or small, under Christ, we must bestow our first honor - not on motivational speakers, or itinerant preachers or prophets  - but  on our pastors.

The Final Reformation Vol.3, Ch.14 The Unraveling to the End

  Isaiah 52:7 This picture - taken from the movie “ War Games ”, is as close as I can get, to describe the John 12:24 glory over the nations: the overlapping and arching lines are the Body of Christ as we go out to preach the Gospel; the dark background is the evil of the anti christ regime and the white orbs are literally bright white explosions, representative of both Salvation and martyrdom : because in the days I was looking at here, there would not be one without the other. These two things went hand in hand! “ Now   is   my   soul   troubled .  And   what  shall   I  say ?  ‘ Father ,  save   me   from   this  hour ’?  But   for   this  purpose   I   have   come  to  this hour .   Father ,  glorify   your  name .”   Then   a   voice   came   from   heaven :“ I   have   glorified   it ,  ...

The Final Reformation Volume III Ch.2 The Beautiful Remnant of America - Part 2

The Beautiful Remnant of America Part II   So they shall fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come like a rushing stream, which the wind of the Lord drives. Roots expand underground in the darkness - the hidden place, that the tree may stand, firmly grounded through the storm. This expansion does not come without faith, time, patience and endurance, and goes entirely un-noticed and un-acclaimed,  because it takes place underground . And yet we know that this expansion is essential to the life and health of the tree.  So it is for the Church in this hour… “What is a house without its foundations?  A house built quickly- on sand    - will not stand - but th...

The Final Reformation Vol.3, Ch.8 ~ The Love of a Motley Crew

~From now on, whenever I write “the clock was ticking” or words along that line, I am referring to the winding down of the time of the Gentiles spoken of by Paul in Romans 11:25 - and the lead up to “ Jacob ’s trouble”, spoken of in Jeremiah 30:7 (which I believe to be the (7) or 3 1/2 years of great tribulation) *With regards to the differing views on eschatology, I can only write what I saw, enforcing it, as best I can, with the Word of God. You the reader, may or may not agree.* ~~~ {In 1607, landed at Cape Henry, Virginia and surrounded by a motley crew of sailors, ex-criminals and prospectors, the Rev. Robert Hunt kneels under a seven foot cross, brought with him from England and prays the following: “Father, we come to you in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ our Savior to dedicate this land to the glory of God…Father in Heaven, we consecrate this Cross.   We consecrate ourselves to the Great Commission , making disciples of all the people of this new land.   We consec...
