Saint Patrick

Saint Patrick (Maewyn Succat) was born in Roman Britain (Wales) somewhere between 385-386 AD. As a teenager, he was kidnapped by Irish pirates and enslaved in Ireland for six years, before, following a miraculous conversion to Christianity, he managed to escape back to Britain.  One would imagine that after this ordeal, he would hate even the mention of Ireland and seek for nothing except revenge for what happened. But, after much time spent in prayer and studying the Scriptures, he would eventually return there, as an ordained bishop - and lead many of the pagans in Ireland to Christ - transforming the spiritual climate of the nation! This is the power of forgiveness, through the Cross of Christ.
